Conference Centre

The Metropol Conference Centre, located in the Grand Hotel Metropol, is ideal for organising conferences, training seminars and other events. Five state-of-the-art multipurpose conference rooms, a reception area, an office and a hall area intended for display booths and socialising during breaks are available. In line with the organiser’s additional needs and wishes, activities outside the Hotel can also be arranged. Upon request, we can provide a shuttle service and organise dinner on a boat or at other locations along the Slovene coast.

For you and your guests, we can organise excursions to Mesečev Zaliv (Moon Bay) and the Strunjan salt works, seaside towns including Piran, local wine cellars, Istrian villages, the Lipica Stud Farm, Postojna Cave, or the nearby cities of Venice and Trieste.

The Conference areas are intended for a wide range of activities, including business meetings, presentations of products and services, internal training seminars for companies and organisations, sales and other strategic conferences and meetings of experts and professionals from various fields and sectors of the economy.

The largest conference room, the Tartini room, seats up to 150 guests; the Allegro room seats up to 40 guests, and the Moderato and Andante rooms each seat up to 30 guests. Upon request, the conference rooms can also be merged and a seating and table layout suited to the needs of the organiser can be prepared.

Attendees of events at the Metropol Conference Centre can stay at the Grand Hotel Metropol*****. Attendees of meetings and conferences of a limited duration can also take time to relax at the Metropol Resort. The facilities of the Grand Hotel Metropol have your relaxation needs covered, especially the Hotel’s Acqua Relax Wellness Centre. Spread out over 1600 m 2, the Centre is a haven of relaxation and bodily care.

Attendees of events at the Metropol Conference Centre can relax and unwind in the company of other guests over culinary specialties in the Grand Salon restaurant or the San Lorenzo à la carte restaurant, which are part of the Grand Hotel Metropol. The Grand Salon self-service restaurant seats 450 guests and also has a dance floor, which makes it ideal for hosting parties and other events that accompany events in the Conference Centre.
