Guests have a one-of-a-kind opportunity to enjoy mouth-watering culinary delights in the heart of the Hotel. Choose from our Grand Salon self-service restaurant or the San Lorenzo à la carte restaurant. The Grand Hotel Metropol’s chefs grow the spices they use in their dishes in their own garden, located in the Hotel complex. It’s just one of the ways that they give the meals they prepare a special taste of the Mediterranean. The San Lorenzo restaurant, with its wide selection of culinary offerings, is also open to outside guests.

The Grand Salon self-service restaurant serves freshly prepared culinary delights and offers guests a breathtaking view of Portorož. The restaurant also has a dance floor, which makes it an excellent choice for organising parties and other events in the framework of the Conference Centre.


At the San Lorenzo restaurant, choose from choice Mediterranean specialties and exquisitely prepared international dishes. Guests will also find an extensive wine card.  The restaurant is open from 12:00 to 24:00.

The area surrounding the Grand Hotel Metropol in Portorož is also renowned for culinary delights. At Hotel Lucija, which is part of the Metropol Resort, guests can discover a vibrant selection of seafood and meat dishes typical of the Slovene coast in a pleasant ambience of pastel hues. The Hotel’s youngest guests are welcome at the restaurant; special child seats and children’s utensils are available. Like all other areas of Hotel Lucija, the restaurant is also fully accessible for guests with special needs.

Situated in the luxurious ambience of the Hotel, The Grand Hotel Metropol’s lobby bar proudly offers a diverse selection of cocktails and local and international beverages. The bar is open every day from 7:00 to 24:00.
